  • Carrick Citations for Arts academics
    The exemplary work of two academic staff from the School of Political Science, Criminology, and Sociology was recently recognised with the award of the 2007 Carrick Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning. The citations, which include a prize of $10,000, were presented at a ceremony at Federation Square. Dr Jui-shan Chang  (Sociology) was cited for a decade of innovative pedagogy that has positively influenced students’ learning experiences and cross-cultural sensibilities and understanding. Associate Professor Philomena Murray (Director, Contemporary Europe Research Centre) was cited for pioneering the first European Union curriculum in Australia and leadership in national and international curriculum development through sustained commitment to student learning and research.
