Postgraduate Scholarships in 2005
The closing date for applications for the 2005 postgraduate scholarships is 1 November. Anyone wishing to be considered for an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA), Melbourne Research Scholarship (MRS), Postgraduate Equity Scholarship (PES), Melbourne International Research Scholarship (MIRS), Melbourne International Fee Remission Scholarship (MIFRS) or the prestigious scholarships administered through the Melbourne Scholarships Office are invited to apply.
Local applicants are encouraged to apply for scholarship using SCHOLS, an on-line service found at: http://www.services.unimelb.edu.au/scholarships/pgrad/
International students currently enrolled in a course for which they seek a scholarship should apply using SCHOLS. All other international students will be automatically considered for scholarship if they submit an 'Application for Admission International Postgraduate Student' form and obtain an unconditional course offer.

Thursday 21 October: Global Political Theory Reading Group
The GPTRG is a fortnightly gathering of political science postgrads with an interest in global politics, contemporary international relations and political economy, and political theory in general.
Each meeting a reading is recommended to the group by a member, who briefly outlines the paper (possibly connecting to previous readings or their current research) before it is discussed in an informal and encouraging peer environment.
All pol. sci. postgrads are welcome - NEXT MEETING

Feminist Forum 27 October: Cold Sunshine - The Racialised, Gendered and Diasporic Experiences of African Caribbean Women in Britain
All staff and postgraduate students interested in feminist ideas are welcome to this seminar series.
