TASA Conference: papers on Gender and Sexuality: 'Revisioning the institution' Ass/Prof Kerreen Reiger is convening the Gender and Sexuality Section for the TASA conference in December and is keen to have us address the conference theme, 'Revisioning the institution'. Although there will of course be a variety of papers, it would be timely to address the issue of the impact of feminism on major Australian institutions, including the academy. Papers would be particularly welcome therefore on teaching and research in higher education, gender in educational settings, including debates on boys, and on challenges to the health system. Other 'institutions' we could consider are the state, heterosexuality and marriage, and the organisation of both paid and unpaid work. In addition, papers that focus discussion on where feminist theory is now going and the relationship between women's/gender studies and sociology programs. Academics and postgraduate students are encouraged to contribute. The deadline for refereed papers is 31 July.
