PACT (Postgraduates after Critical Thinking) A group of Melbourne postgrads have come up with the idea of starting a critical analysis and support group called PACT (Postgraduates after Critical Thinking). This group will get together regularly to practice our presentation skills, hear about what other students in the social sciences are researching and offer support and critical feedback to each other. An email list of postgraduates in the Melbourne area who are interested in PACT events is now being compiled. Please contact Karina Butera (details below) if you are interested in being kept abreast of what is happening in the Melbourne/Victoria region for postgraduates in the social sciences. This is not exclusively for sociology students, but for anyone who is interested in being part of a collegiate community specifically interested in investigating the social world, so please pass this on to anyone you think may be interested in hearing about and/or joining the group.
