Master of Social Policy Programs
The courses are designed to enable students:
- to understand the social, political and economic contexts of policies
- to research the social dimensions of social policy: race, gender, ethnicity, sexuality and disability.
- to understand social policy as a contested process and apply research skills to a range of organisational contexts.
- to develop the suites of professional skills required for high quality policy development and evaluation.
- to take a strongly East-West comparative perspective which relates social policy to development programs.
- to understand the key bodies of knowledge informing contemporary social policy development: eg social inclusion\exclusion, social capital and globalisation
